Long has the Star of David being a widely recognized symbol of Judaism, and named after King David of ancient Israel. Consisting of 2 of two interlocking equilateral triangles, legend has it that it may have originated from the Shield of David (known as the Magen David). Since the middle ages, it has become one of the defining symbols of Judaism along with the more ancient symbol of the Menorah. The star has been used to adorn the cover of the Torah, and it is found on Jewish synagogues and tombstones.
This super pretty star is dolled up with diamonds and sapphires and is just chockfull of charm and history. 18kt white gold, 3.2dwt in weight, 1.4” tall, and .95” in width.
Diamonds are .52ctw, G/H colors, and VS/SI, GIA standards.
Sapphires are slightly violet-blue, light tone, grayish saturation. SI/I2 type II clarity, GIA standards.
