Victorian Memorial Rock Crystal Locket Ring
Victorian mourning jewelery is becoming more and more difficult to find these days, and for good reason! The unique style and craftsmanship of these pieces is undeniably special, not to mention the sentimentality behind it. Queen Victoria popularized mourning jewelery when her love Prince Albert passed, and so the jewels she used to adorn herself were covered in black enamel - quite literally expressing her mournful spirit. Memorial jewelery was made for the same purpose - using photos, portraits, locks of hair and sometimes even teeth to honor your passed loved ones. This cluster ring has a halo of rustic old cut diamonds and a black enamel halo (with a small portion chipped off in one of the clipped corners). Inside of the locket currently sits a piece of blue ribbon, which can be easily switched out with a memento of your choosing.
