When we send Elizabeth of The Moonstoned a great vintage pear shaped diamond and she dreams up a custom-carved opal surround for it, we are giddy with excitement! The pear is a spready number, reminiscent of the Georgian-era diamonds we have seen in the past, giving the illusion of a 4ct diamond. The custom cut opal has a tranquil, pale blue color to it, with flashes of pink and red in certain lighting. Sourced from Athens, Greece, from a fourth-generation family lapidary. Low set on the finger, and as elegant as can be!
