A most special piece to have landed in our collection: this 1930s tubogas/gas pipe gold necklace by Trabert Hoeffer & Maboussin.
Chicago-based Trabert & Hoeffer initially bought the inventory of Maubossin when the Paris-based jewelry closed its doors in New York. What followed was a collaboration between the 2 jewelry houses lasting from the 1930s to the 1950s.
This particular necklace is unique in that in comes with 3 clasps which may be used to adjust the length of the necklace, or simply to style it. This drama with a capital D. In excellent condition.
14kt yellow gold, measures 27" in length & stretches to 75" in length.
70 pennyweight + 9.5 pennyweight adding the 3 clasps.
